Get your head out of the boat

"Get your head out of the boat" is an expression used in sailing to mean shifting your focus from your own performance to the needs of the team and the bigger picture.

This course challenges racing sailors at all levels to shift energy and attention to the overall situation‚ teamwork‚ information sharing‚ and competitive strategy. The method encourages awareness‚ communication‚ and synchronization with others‚ leading to measurably better performance‚ increased safety and fun‚ and growth across the group.

This class will introduce drills and exercises that teach teams to get their heads out of the boat and that can be practiced before and after sailing and both on and off of the water.
